WIP (Pottersville): "Co-op City"
I finally fleshed out an area of Pottersville that I have nicknamed "Co-op City." This is a neighborhood consisting mostly of high rise brick developments, based on areas like this in NYC. I have the buildings and lots I want in place; all I have to do is finish the apartments inside the Night Life apartment shells.

WIP (Pottersville): Some Night Pics Showing Highways and Bridges
Every world that I build, I always base it around a certain theme. With Pottersville, it's all about making the world feel "alive" with a lot of bridges, highway rails and lights that sparkle at nighttime. I know that sounds kind of vague, so I'll show you what I mean below with some night pics:

Same location as above pic, but different angle. |

WIP (Pottersville): Another Overview
This is what Pottersville looks like after working on it for about a month. It's finally beginning to shape up, but I am still a ways to go:
The first fully completed neighborhoods in Pottersville. The largest one is called Hacienda Drive. |
Some terrain painting on the plateau that leads to the two neighborhoods above. |
That plateau from further out so you can see where it is relative to Hacienda Drive. |
A neighborhood slowly taking shape. |
The neighborhood from a different angle. |

WIP (Pottersville): Underpass #1
I am currently building two underpasses in Pottersville. This is the one near Hacienda Drive, in various stages of completion. Unfortunately, the overpass (the river bridge in CAW) isn't functional. However, I added some highway rails along the sides to give the illusion that there's traffic.
I don't know if the sims will actually use the underpasses (they're so goofy sometimes when it comes to routing), but I'll have to test the world just to see what happens. Even if they don't use them, I think the underpasses do a nice job of making Pottersville feel more city-like.

WIP (Pottersville): Seaside Townhouses
These are a series of townhouses I created to overlook the beach at Pottersville. They originally were located much further in-land among other apartment buildings but I thought they would look better in their own community by the water. There will be 6-8 units in all, using the same template but with different apartment layouts.
Where the units are located relative to the beach. |
A closeup of one of the units. I'll be using the same structure for all the lots in this neighborhood because it's getting too time consuming custom-building each and every house. |
